1. Fueling your body pre-jiujitsu is essential to ensure good levels of blood sugar and blood pressure; Jiujitsu is a high-intensity sport which means eating 2 hours before can be ideal to ensure you don't feel too full and sick, but close enough to training to feel energized.
2. Showering, trimming your nails and keeping good hygiene is vital, as Jiujitsu is a full-contact sport, and the last thing you want is to get kicked off the mat for not keeping up with hygiene!
3. Watching technique videos on YouTube and social media can be an excellent way to get your head on the mats before training. It's what I call a mental warmup before your physical warmup. It's a great way to refresh your mind and get more familiar with movements from an outside perspective.
4. One of the best things that have helped all these years is having a plan; preparation is vital; before class, either make a mental or physical note of what exactly you want from today's training. Make a clear objective on what you want to learn, improve on or practice; it will make training easier to focus on and make you feel more confident and improve faster by targeting those weak points.
5. This step is one of the most neglected yet essential steps many people go wrong in. Many people in Jiujitsu that compete train long enough to develop flexibility through training. To speed this up, you can do dynamic stretches 10 minutes before class. Many positions require you to be flexible, which can help you develop your game and improve fast; if needed, we'll post on dynamic stretches you can do pre-training in more detail.

Can you please post food ideas for before training thanks
